Dr. Ilaria Mattei graduated from the University of Padua in July 2004 with a thesis on “Contact sensitization in children with or without Atopic Dermatitis”.
Since September 2001 she has been attending the Pediatric Dermatology Unit at the Pediatric Unit of the University of Padua as an internal student.
In January 2010, achievement of the Diploma of Specialist in Dermatology and Venereology at the University of Padua, discussing the thesis “Correlations between dermatology and histology on 90 cases of pigmented lesions in pediatric patients”.
From 2006 to 2009, active participation in the diagnostic and research activities in progress at the aforementioned Clinic.
She maintains a fixed clinical and research commitment with the Pediatric Dermatology Unit, with particular interest in the field of pigmented lesions, dermatological allergology, adolescent pathologies, Atopic Dermatitis and dermatological complications of organ transplanted pediatric patients For two years he worked at the Busonera Hospital, Veneto
One-year training in dermatological microsurgery, collaborating with the department of Maxillofacial Surgery for the management of more disabling interventions localized to the face and mucous membranes.
From 2007 to 2010 she worked as a collaborator with the Institute of Anatomy Pathology of the University of Padua, acquiring particular skills in the field of Dermatopathology.
Since 2007 she has maintained a fixed clinical and research commitment with the Simple Unit of Pediatric Dermatology (Head of Dr M.Cutrone) at the Pediatric Department of the Angelo Venezia-Mestre Hospital.
From January to April 2010 attending the Master Misericordiae University Hospital of Dublin and Children Hospital, Temple Street, Dublin, as Observer, to learn the management of dermatological diseases in patients with light skin types.
From May to September 2010, Thermal Medicine activities at Abano Terme. From 2010 to 2011 collaboration with LILT of Padua and Vicenza for the prevention and treatment of skin cancers.For several years he has been working as a freelancer in clinics in the province of Treviso and Venice.

She is responsible for:

  • Specialist visit of Pediatric Dermatology
  • Visit for diagnosis and prevention of melanoma and skin cancers
  • Day Light skin photodynamic therapy for the treatment of epithelial precancerous diseases (actinic keratoses) and some forms of skin cancer
  • Diagnosis and treatment of juvenile and adult acne
  • Trichological evaluation
  • Allergy visit (contact allergies)
  • Simple and complex wound dressings
